Email your resume to Jane Hanaghan, Practice Manager, at recruitment@munro.com.au
Apart from the resume being brief, well laid out and easy to read, it is important for you to include a cover letter.
- The cover letter is the first impression, so make sure there are no typos and all names are spelt correctly.
- There are three basic things you need to communicate clearly and concisely to a potential employer in your cover letter:
- The position you are applying for
- The skills you bring to the company that satisfy the requirements of that position
- The action you would like to happen next
Interviews are an integral part of your job search. They are not a one-sided interrogation. Rather, it will be a forum where you can find out more about us and visa versa.
- Find out as much as possible about Munro Accountants, look at our brochure and read our website thoroughly.
- Be prepared to share examples of your experience and skills that demonstrate your competencies. Any achievements you have had and problems that you have overcome. Have at least 2 questions you might want to ask.
- Practice the interview.
- Relax – easier than it sounds we know, but we are not here to make this difficult for you. Make sure that you listen to each question and use examples of past experience to bolster your answer.
- Organise your clothes in advance. Dress conservatively.
- Bring relevant documentation.
- Arrive early to get a feel for the office and location.
At Munro Accountants we are looking for personality and team players, so demonstrating this in the interview is very important.
