Love Connect

With millions of people all over the world looking for love online Love Connect had to be more than just another dating site. They are an introduction agency who provide personalised service with highly trained relationship consultants who get to know their clients extremely well. They can act as a shoulder to lean on for those new to the singles scene and, particularly for people in regional Australia, they can act as an extended family.

Love Connect have a thorough screening process which means clients don't have to go through endless coffee shop chats with strangers and the agency only take on people who are genuinely looking for a lasting relationship.

They are licensed under the Government Introduction Agents Act. This legislation is managed by the Office of Parliament ensuring licensed introduction agencies follow the correct code of conduct.

Co-owner, Steve Rose, says one of their sweetest success stories is an elderly couple they introduced who have been together a year but did not want to live together. The solution? She bought a house right next door to him.

Gold Coast Family Pools

Transforming your lifestyle and home into an aquatic wonderlandd is what Gold Coast Family Pools (GCFP) are all about and they have been in the business for 15 years.

Some clients have had 3- 4 pools built with the Torrance family and one clients' endorsement is typical of why GCFP are one of the longest running pool
businesses  on the Gold Coast..
"There was only one company who was going to build it and we didn't ask for a quote from anyone else because we trust you guys 100% and I sing your praises to everyone I know."

When asked what makes GCFP different, co-owner Michelle Torrance says the level of service they deliver and their honesty and integrity.

Orion Solar

An airstrip in central Queensland and the Gold Coast Airport have one thing in common, they both have installed Orion Solar lights on their runways. The small town of Theodore raised the money for the solar lights so the Flying Doctor service could land safely at night, while the Gold Coast Airport were looking for an environmental and low maintenance solution.

Orion Solar was established in 2004 and supply to Government, Councils, the Marine, Road and Rail Industries and now Mining industries. Many Councils are now turning to Orion to meet public area lighting needs, where grid connection is expensive or difficult to provide or, like Brisbane, where the area is flood prone.

Being off the power grid means implementation, maintenance and lower costs are ensured and Orion doesn't just set up the lights, they engineer the movement of energy through the system to ensure the solutions offer superior performance. They also incorporate intelligent energy management technology.

Firefighters Calender

Every Christmas our clients, Bruce and Amanda Mitchell, print their very popular Firefighters Calendar.   Their calendars are hot property in our office and throughout the wider community.  After 10 years of production, the Mitchell's are now opting for an edgier look for the 2013 calendar, while still showing off fit and healthy firemen and women with amazing physiques.

We wanted something less traditional so we've used race cars and even a Canberra Bomber airplane" said Bruce who has been a fireman for 25 years himself.

The proceeds go to the Children's Health Foundation Burns Unit and the Firefighter's Games, needless to say the Mitchell's are extremely proud of this achievement.  Due to the efforts of the featured firefighters and other supporters over the years, they have collectively raised in excess of $750,000.

The calendar guys and girls volunteer their own time to sell the calendars and they are aiming for the $1million mark next year.

The calendar has fire prevention tips and the Burns Unit main theme 'Cool for 20' first aid treatment is also featured. The website reveals behind the scenes video and media stories plus you can buy the calendar online or at Coffee Club stores.  www.firefighterscalendar.com.au

San Diego Tortilla Factory

The San Diego Tortilla Factory was founded in 1995 when the Thomson family realised that Australia was lacking something special – a great white corn tortilla.  They started producing an authentic Mexican corn tortilla, also referred to as Mexican flat bread, and soon moved on to a flour tortilla.

At the time, you couldn't walk into your average grocery or retail store and buy tortillas.  "Now, after our introduction of tortillas to the Australian market in 1996, you're unlikely to walk into a store that doesn't sell either a San Diego's Brand or one produced by our Diego's family."

Their product range is now quite extensive, much more than the humble tortillas and they are sold nationally, in New Zealand, Vanuatu and Singapore and are registered with Healthy Kids, a Nutritional program for school canteens.

Their website has dozens of recipes for breakfast, lunch and tea. There is Heuvos Rancheros , a traditional Mexican breakfast and Crispy Fish Cakes using the San Diego Classic Stuff N Crumb mixture. You can even submit your own recipe to the site.

You can buy the Diego's products online, at IGA and other retail outlets. Visit the website www.sandiego.com.au
