Richard Munro

Partner/Owner *  B.Bus CPA FTIA

Richard takes pleasure in seeing people succeed, whether it is his team members, clients or their business. This is the foremost reason he has chosen to work in the Public Accounting industry. His satisfaction comes from the challenge of finding and implementing strategies to improve Munro Accountants clients' position. Richard formed Munro Accountants in 1993 and it has grown from a small firm to a dynamic business with a diverse range of specialties. Throughout his career Richard has been involved with professional, sporting and community groups which have enhanced his understanding in dealing with people and financial matters. Richard's particular interests cover a number of areas including Business Leadership and Management, Succession Planning and Taxation and he has been a regular speaker at many events. Outside of work Richard enjoys golf, skiing and body surfing whilst being an avid Queensland and Broncos supporter.

Michelle Gargar

Partner/Owner   B.Bus CPA

Since joining Richard as Partner in 1995, Michelle has taken a 'hands on' approach with clients, assisting them to fully understand their businesses. She is particularly focused on customising the internal business and accounting systems of Munro Accountants and those of clients. Her assistance with clients' business sales assures them of their best 'after tax' position. Self Managed Superannuation Funds and Capital Gains advice is another area of her expertise. She oversees the compliance division, regularly meeting with clients to solve their taxation issues. Michelle loves to share her knowledge via webinars that we hold throughout the year. Outside of work Michelle enjoys being a mum, cooking and following the St. George and NSW Rugby League teams.

Jane du Kamp

Practice Manager  B.Bus

Jane completed a Bachelor of Business (Economics) at QUT in 1996 and started her career in Insurance Advising and Financial Planning. She then went on to study a Diploma of Financial Planning before heading off to the United Kingdom for nearly 4 years. She worked closely with Financial Advisors and also managed various Financial Advisory companies. Jane joined Munro Accountants on her return to Australia in March 2005 to the newly created role as Practice Manager. She has drawn her knowledge of working in the Accounting/Financial Planning industry with her management experience to develop this role. Her responsibilities include client service, workflow control, human resources and price management.

Peter Morgan 

Business Development Advisor   BSc.(Econ) FCA (ICAEW)

Peter enjoys partnering with clients to help them succeed with outstanding results. A qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW), Peter commenced his career with Price Waterhouse in the UK in 1985 and brings over 25 years experience across both corporate and SME clients to the Munro team. He has also been Partner in his own accounting firm for 8 years. Peter will be building new client relationships and assisting clients with project work, such as cash flow monitoring and business mentoring. Peter has developed a broad range of skills and is adept at building large professional contact networks to help meet clients' needs. This approach has been successful in his building a loyal client following over the years. His personal interests encompass playing soccer, cycling, swimming and surfing.
